Toronto Jobs And
Employment In Toronto

If you’re searching for Toronto jobs and are considering working here, I can think of a few suggestions to help you look.

I began working as a recruiter in 2000 so I have experience helping people find employment locally.

In fact, I’ve set up a website to help career-minded individuals improve their job searches and careers in general.

The website is called Find Your Dream Career so please check it out.

If you’re considering looking for a job in Toronto and aren’t sure where to start, you can first start by searching online.

If you are looking for Toronto-area jobs, you might also consider searching in the cities of Mississauga (which is about 30 minutes west of Toronto) and also Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham which are cities north of Toronto that also provide many great employment opportunities.

Markham in particular is a great Information Technology hub with many large IT companies located here.

In general terms, the Toronto job market is a very large and diverse one. Among other industries, Toronto is home to many IT, financial, film and tv, fashion, tourism, and business service businesses.

Toronto is home to a very multicultural population so the restaurant scene is very diverse as well.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada so plenty of head offices are located here. Toronto is the business capital of Canada and home of the Toronto Stock Exchange, (TSX) too.

In the downtown core, Toronto is home to many large companies and several of the major banks are headquartered here as well.

The financial district of Toronto is located on Bay Street which runs north and south and houses the TSX. On King Street – which runs east and west – you’ll find more financial institutions including some of the major banks.

Toronto also has a vibrant fashion district which is located on Spadina Avenue between Dundas Street and Front Street. Here you'll find many major fashion retailers and manufacturers.

Don't Forget The Surrounding Cities
If you're thinking about getting a job in Toronto, don't forget the surrounding cities which also provide great job opportunities. Here are a few of the major cities in and around Toronto that can not only provide employment but a great place to raise a family too.
