SpringMarch – June: As we move from winter to spring, temperatures can vary from a low of about -4 degrees in March up as high as 24 degrees in June. Temperatures during this period can vary quite a bit in that regard.Spring can be a nice time to visit Toronto since the weather starts to get warmer and increasingly we find ourselves with little to no snow on our ground during this time. Toronto weather patterns can vary during this time so check The Weather Network link for seasonal patterns so you can decide what clothing to bring with you. SummerJune – September: Temperatures can range from a low of around 11 degrees early in the summer to a high of around 27 degrees. Having said that in the summer of 2006 we’ve seen many days over 30 degrees made hotter still when the humidity is accounted for.The summer of 2006 has been a good one with many days over 30 degrees but many days have also been at more comfortable lower levels, too. Not surprisingly there is a lot going on in the Toronto during the summer months in terms of festivals, exhibitions, sporting events among others. Fall/AutumnSeptember – December: Expect colder temperatures ranging from a low of around -6 degrees up to around 21 degrees early in the season.Early Fall is one of my favorite times of the year because we tend to have weather that is cool enough to wear a coat but not cold enough that you have to really bundle up. Later on in the season, it can get cold enough to have to wear warmer clothing but September and October can still be nice times to visit the city. WinterDecember – March: Temperatures bottom out during this season not surprisingly and range from a low of around -10 degrees to a high of around 4 degrees. As time goes on – global warming in full display perhaps? – our winters appear to be less extreme as they were in the past.I’ve certainly noticed differences in the winters we experience currently from when I was a child in that we appear to get less precipitation and during a shorter period of time. Specifically, the “White Christmas” we used to always see at Christmas time doesn’t always pan out and we have recently seen the holiday season with little to no snow on the ground. Pack your warm clothes and bring a warm hat and gloves just in case! In general terms, you’ll find July is our hottest month and January is usually the coldest.
